Maik Messing, * 1972, lernte zunächst den Beruf des Maurers mit DDR-Facharbeiterbrief, bevor er in der Bundeswehr als Richtschütze auf dem Marder im Panzergrenadierbatallion 212 tätig war. Wenige Jahre später absolvierte er den Betriebswirt des Handwerks und arbeitet seither als Bäcker.Volkmar Kabisch, * 1984, studierte Islamwissenschaft und Judaistik in Halle/Saale, Leipzig und Kairo. Ab 2004 arbeitete er als Reporter beim Mitteldeutschen Rundfunk und dem „"Spiegel TV Magazin“". Von 2013 an ist Volkmar Kabisch als Autor bei „"Panorama“" und „"Panorama 3“ im NDR tätig. Inzwischen arbeitet er für den Rechercheverbund von NDR, WDR und Süddeutscher Zeitung.Georg Heil, *1977, arbeitete als freiberuflicher Journalist für das investigative Ressort des WDR, nachdem er zuvor bei „Spiegel TV“ tätig war. Seit 2018 arbeitet er für das ARD-Magazin „Kontraste“.
